Challenges

In the healthcare sector, we know that everything is an emergency.

When it comes to transporting vaccines, the sense of urgency must be even greater. Therefore, Fiorde Group’s significant challenge in this case was to reduce storage and transportation time to final delivery, as well as the rapid release by Anvisa at the airport (reducing taxes and accommodation expenses).

Strategies

• Implementation of integration between Sirius and ERP systems.
• Maximum urgency in seasonal shipment of influenza (flu) prevention vaccines and maximum interaction among all involved in the process.
• Renewal of over 22 “Ex-tariffs” and obtaining 6 new “ex-tariffs.”

Results

• With the implementation of client x Sirius system integration, we automated the operation phases, bringing productivity and agility gains.
• The sense of urgency and on-time interaction of all involved accelerated the process stages from protocol submission to Anvisa for agency approval to transportation release (which exceptionally shortened the delivery of vaccines to the final destination upon arrival in Brazil). This avoided increased costs for the stay of refrigerated equipment and storage and ensured greater agility in removing the product from the airport.
• The renewal and acquisition of new “ex-tariffs” granted the benefit of reducing the Import Tax to 0% for some products imported by the company.
