Fiorde Success Case: Personal Hygiene Industry

Fiorde Group provides Control-Tower service, responsible for order management from placement to delivery at the destination, and follow-up with foreign suppliers, freight agents, and carriers to ensure that the goods are delivered to the customer within the stipulated timeframe, for a major multinational company in the personal hygiene industry founded in 1872 in Neenah, Wisconsin (USA), serving more than 175 countries.

Challenges

Products in the personal hygiene industry must be delivered quickly. Therefore, time was one of the main challenges in this case. We had to devise the most effective delivery strategies and facilitate communication between the SAP and Sirius systems.

Strategies

• With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Fiorde Group holds OEA (Authorized Economic Operator) certification. In addition to reducing time in customs clearance channels during export, it ensures priority access to Customs Warehouses and top priority for the inspection of selected items.
• Use of Sirius for integration between the SAP system, facilitating data communication and understanding, along with real-time monitoring of product transportation.

Results

• Maritime processes being cleared over water (before actual arrival at the final destination port), thus ensuring more controlled procedures and customs priority.
• Reduction in warehousing and demurrage costs, resulting in savings of approximately USD 654,000.00 per year.
• Agility and accuracy with system integration, enabling a reduction in headcount and improved service quality.
